We were woken up at 6am with coffee and tea brought to our tent, breakfast was ready at 6:30am. This company, Peak Planet treated us like royalty the whole trip. We all ate as a team together talking about our summit. After breakfast, all the porters and guides put on a ceremony for us with singing, dancing, and served us some cake! We got necklaces and a bracelet. We did not exit the national Park until 4:30pm. Everyone was hurting after summit night/day. We even received official certificates from the government of Tanzania certifying us that we climbed and reached Uhuru Peak!! 9 strangers met in Moshi, Tanzania all with a dream to reach Uhuru Peak on Kilimanjaro. We did it together and became friends. I was the youngest at 30 and everyone else ranged from 44-70!! Spending 8 days hiking in the woods, no showers, no plumbing, sleeping in tents tests your limits physically and mentally. We accomplished it together and words could never truly describe this experience. I finally accomplished one of my dreams from 3 years ago to climb this Mountain. High altitude climbing is no joke! I have now experienced it first hand. I would do it all over again on a new mountain somewhere else in the world! Now for my next adventure in Rwanda 🇷🇼
