My time in Tanzania and Rwanda has come to an end. On my last day in Rwanda I spent it finding golden monkeys in the forest which was a lot easy to find than gorillas. It took us 5 minutes to spot them and barely had to hike in. So no crazy ants or plants we encountered, only grass, ferns and bamboo trees. The golden monkeys were cute and bigger than I thought. I imagined they were a small breed of monkey but no they’re average size. We observed them for an hour, they hopped around the trees, ate and I think they were even observing us! Afterwards, it was 3 hours back to Kigali. I concluded my final hours at my favorite coffee shop, Question Coffee. Rwanda really has the best coffee I have ever had. Hoping I can imitate how they make it at home with the coffee beans I bought! Lastly, I flew 11 hours to the Amsterdam Airport, awaiting my connection back to Boston. I’m looking forward to going home. I enjoyed my time in Tanzania and Rwanda and would recommend anyone to go explore these 2 places! They have a lot to offer and a totally different culture. The people there love tourist and ask when we will return! It’s hard to say when I will as I want to see so many other places! But for now, back to Boston 💙
